New Maxus eDeliver 9 electric van: prices, specs and on-sale date
Maxus has unveiled a new, larger fully electric van to slot in above the eDeliver 3 model in its light commercial line-up
The commercial vehicle brand Maxus has unveiled the latest addition to its zero-emissions van range. Called the eDeliver 9, the model offers a larger load volume and carrying capacity than the smaller Maxus eDeliver 3, which was launched earlier in 2020.
Prices start from £55,000 (excluding VAT but including the government electric-vehicle grant). It's available to order now for deliveries from January 2021.
The eDeliver 9 is available in two different sizes (medium and long-wheelbase) and offers a driving range of up to 219 miles. It's powered by a 150kW electric motor, drawing power from one of three available battery sizes: 51.5, 72 and 88.55kWh.
DC rapid charging allows for a 5-80% top-up to be completed in as little as 45 minutes, Maxus says, while charging fully from a typical home or workplace wallbox will take around five hours.
All variants have a cargo compartment measuring 2,062mm wide by 2,525mm high, with the medium-wheelbase model 5,546mm-long compartment and the long-wheelbase model extending that to 5,940mm. Cargo volume for the medium-wheelbase eDeliver 9 is 9.7 cubic metres, while the long-wheelbase model can accommodate 11 cubic metres. Maximum payload is up to 1,700kg.
Maxus will be offering a number variants in the eDeliver 9 range, including crew cab, chassis and minibus models, while a network of specialist converters can also create a bespoke van to cater for needs including mobility, refrigeration and specialist cargo.
