5 Reasons why a used Skoda is right for you
With a range of award-winning models on offer and numerous benefits for the buyer, Skoda Approved Used is well worth a look
Shopping for your next car might be a daunting prospect, but with Skoda Approved Used, there’s no need to fret. It's an easy way to get yourself behind the wheel of a much-admired motor for less, with two years peace of mind for those using Skoda’s Approved Used PCP offer(1).
Here’s what you need to know:
Award-winning models
Over the years, Skoda models have scooped up myriad awards and group-test victories. In 2022, for instance, the Karoq was named Auto Express’s Best Used Car, while the Octavia scooped the Best Estate award in 2022 and 2023 - the model’s sixth win in a row. The Kodiaq has also been crowned the Best Large SUV in the Auto Express New Car Awards no less than four times - a remarkable achievement.
The reason Skoda cars are so successful? Because they blend style, efficiency, value and practicality together in compelling packages.
Abundant Approved Used choice
Skoda Approved Used features a stock of thousands of cars nationwide, giving plenty of choice in terms of different prices, specs, mileages and, of course, vehicle types, with no fewer than 16 different models to pick from.
Perhaps you need a compact and fun runabout, in which case, the Citigo is ideal. After a little more space without going too large? Look no further than the Fabia. For larger families looking to carry multiple people and all their things, the Octavia is ideal, as is the mid-size Karoq SUV.
The ultimate practical option is the Kodiaq, which in some specifications can seat up to seven people, and for those ready to make the jump to fully electric motoring, there’s the Citigo e iV and the Enyaq iV.
PCP offer with free servicing, Warranty and more
Skoda’s Approved Used PCP offer(1) is a very affordable and flexible way to get into one of these great cars, with the option to pay a deposit as little as a single monthly payment, and with terms lengths from 18 to 48 months. The Representative APR is 11.4 per cent(1), and there are three choices once your agreement ends. You can either switch to a different Skoda, keep it by paying an optional final instalment and the option-to-purchase fee or simply return it.
Anyone purchasing an Approved Used Skoda via PCP will also receive two years’ free servicing(2) and Warranty(4) and two free MOTs(2) (if due) at a participating Skoda retailer. The service offer covers two services on petrol, diesel and hybrid models comprising a minor and major service, while electric vehicles are treated to a service, pollen-filter change and brake-fluid renewal. Any car purchased on the offer that’s under three years old will also come with a £250 deposit contribution(1).
The PCP final perk is two years of Roadside Assistance. If you’d rather purchase an Approved Used Skoda another way, you’ll still enjoy one year of Roadside Assistance and one MOT.
Buying Electric
Skoda launched its first fully electric SUV, the Enyaq, back in 2021, with the sporty-looking Enyaq Coupe following a year later. If you're looking for a supremely capable family EV that fits effortlessly into daily life, then seeking out an Approved Used Enyaq model is a smart move.
The Skoda Approved Used Enyaq PCP offer means you can secure a used model with 9.9%APR* Representative and £750 towards your finance deposit. Plus, there’s two years of servicing^ included in the package.
Buying an Approved Used electric model from Skoda brings extra advantages, too. For example, the manufacturer’s qualified technicians will run checks on the car’s battery to certify its state of health, while you’ll also benefit from having the balance of an 8-year/100,000-mile battery degradation warranty - and if the operating level falls below 70 per cent Skoda will replace the battery modules.
Comprehensive checks
Giving further reassurance, every Approved Used Skoda is subject to a multi-point inspection. Qualified technicians perform over 100 individual checks on each car, culminating in a road test.
During the process, various fluid levels will be checked and (where necessary) topped up, the vehicle’s underside will be inspected, major electronics will be assessed, the brakes will be examined, and much more. Skoda will complete any service work or parts replacements due in the next six months, including the big ticket items like cambelts, and a copy of the report can be provided when you take your keys.
