Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid gains new Platinum Edition trim level

New special edition adds a range of popular options as standard, along with visual enhancements

Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Platinum Edition

The Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and its non-hybrid Panamera 4 counterpart are now available in a new 'Platinum Edition' trim level, making its public debut at the Los Angeles motor show. The special edition adds a number of options that Porsche describes as "highly sought-after", such as adaptive air suspension, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, LED matrix headlights, a panoramic roof, parking assistance with a reversing camera and – for the hybrid only – a 7.2kW on-board charger.

Visually, the Platinum Edition is set apart from other Panamera trims by 21-inch 'Exclusive Design Sport' alloy wheels, along with black tailpipes, privacy glass, high-gloss black side window trim and 'Exclusive Design' tail-lights. There's also a platinum finish to the air outlet trims behind the front wheels, the rear badges and the 'e-Hybrid' logo on the side of the car. Customers wanting smaller alloy wheels can specify a 20-inch Panamera Style design as an option.

Inside, standard kit includes a sports steering wheel, lane-changing assistance, soft-close doors, 14-way power-adjustable front seats, heated rear seats, Bose surround-sound audio, brushed aluminium trim, an analogue dashboard clock and the Porsche crest embossed on the headrests.

The Platinum Edition Panamera can be ordered in both the four-door saloon and five-door Sport Turismo bodystyles. Orders are being taken now, with the 4 E-Hybrid saloon priced at £92,570 and the 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo at £94,840 – compared to £84,610 and £86,760 respectively for the standard 4 E-Hybrid. Deliveries are set to take place in the first quarter of 2022.
