MG4 EV vs Kia Niro EV: verdict and specifications

We love the Kia Niro EV, but the MG4 matches it in several areas, while costing a whole lot less

MG4 vs Kia Niro EV

1st: MG4 EV – 4.5 stars

The MG4 EV is one of the biggest surprises of 2022, coming out of nowhere to launch with a truly unbeatable starting price. On the road, it’s fun to drive but still very comfortable, while also offering rapid charging speeds and a range on par with the Kia and some much pricier electric hatchbacks. It’s spacious inside, and comes with oodles of standard kit. The MG4 EV really is the car of the moment. Read our full review for more.

2nd: Kia Niro EV – 4.5 stars

It’s easy to fall for the Kia Niro EV. It’s comfortable, stylish, and the tech is slick, and compared with the MG4 feels more special and better built. It’s also the better choice if boot space is a priority for you, and we found it to be significantly more efficient during our time with both cars. However, it takes second place in this test simply because the MG4 can do pretty much everything the Niro EV can, but for a lot less money. Read our full review for more.
